SiteMonitor Enterprise can be configured to skip checking website / hosts at specific times during the day known as maintenance windows. Such maintenance window can be set at a group level. During such a maintenance window no checks are done and no notifications are sent. Once the maintenance window elapses normal operation resumes.
To access the Maintenance Window management access the Web Interface and select Manage…Maintenance Windows.
To Add a new Maintenance Window select Add
- Enter a unique name for the maintenance window.
- Enter a better description for you to remember the reason.
- Select the group the window applies to
- Specify the date and time the window starts and when it should end. If this window is to be a recurring window, then set a start date when window will take effect and also a end date with a year in the future when you want the window to stop.
- Specify Recurring parameters if maintenance window will occur on daily/weekly. Select also the time when the maintenance window will be active. The start should be smaller than the end. If you need to specify 23:00:00 till 02:00:00 daily then you will need to create two maintenance windows, one from 23:00:00 till 23:59:59 and another from 00:00:00 till 02:00:00.
